super bowls

Since the 1967 inception many have dreamed to sit in the thunderous and fanatic audience witnessing who will conquer The Vince Lombardi Trophy. Only a few are able to grace the stage in front of the audience and the millions of television and internet viewers. Queen Cora has not only rocked drums on the coveted and highly-visible 50-yard yard line once, but twice!

2007 | PRINCE | XLI

Super Bowl XLI aired on CBS February 4, 2007, at the Dolphin Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. Queen Cora performed with Pop, icon, Prince along with the The Florida A&M Marching 100. With 74,512 in attendance, the event was carried “to the biggest audience of his life – 140 million television viewers. The setlist for Prince’s performance was a short rendition of “We Will Rock You” by Queen, his signature hit “Let’s Go Crazy“, “Baby, I’m a Star”, cover versions of the Creedence Clearwater Revival hit “Proud Mary“, the Bob Dylancomposition “All Along the Watchtower“, and the Foo Fighters song “Best of You“, and in light of the conditions, he fittingly finished the performance with another signature song, “Purple Rain” in the downpour.

2013 | BEYONCE | SUPER BOWL XLVII

Queen Cora’s second Half-Time Show with Beyonce was February 3, 2013 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. It became the, then, second most watched show in Super Bowl history by garnering 110.8 million viewers. Produced by Ricky Kirshner and directed by Hamish Hamilton, Beyonce also featured special guests, Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland. The performance, and the stadium blackout that followed, generated more than 299,000 tweets per minute, making it the then second most tweeted moment in the history of Twitter. This would be the first Pepsi sponsored halftime show since Super Bowl XLI.
